One of the most prized possessions that new students receive at Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College is their first stethoscope. It comes inside a “health assessment” tote bag with other items they will soon learn how to use.   

Blackout Melanoma made a $5,000 donation to The Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital to aid the hospital’s response to COVID-19.

By partnering with The Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital, Dr. Chung was able to provide meals to hospital departments where they were needed the most.

Among provisions designed to lighten the economic burden of COVID-19, the CARES Act includes important measures to incentivize charitable giving for both individuals and corporations.

More than 11,000 meals have been delivered to Barnes-Jewish Hospital workers since April 1, thanks to the generosity of a wide variety of donors that include restaurants, corporations, and grateful patients and their families. The donations are coming in daily and being coordinated by The Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Barnes-Jewish Hospital Logistics Liaisons.

Crocs Inc. has joined forces with Famous Footwear, owned by St. Louis-based Caleres Inc., to donate 2,000 free pairs of comfortable and durable clogs to The Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
