A pioneer in cardiothoracic surgery has returned to his roots at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine.

On Saturday, June 2, 2018, nearly 500 guests—including some of St. Louis’ most generous individuals and corporations—shared an unforgettable evening of philanthropy and entertainment with special guest host, Jason Alexander.

Nearly 100 people heard several Washington University Orthopedics team members share their expertise April 5 at The Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital’s Leading Edge Medicine event at The Cheshire.

Andrew E. Gelman, PhD, Professor of Surgery, Professor of Immunology and Pathology, and Director, Lung Immunobiology Laboratory at Washington University School of Medicine, was named the Jacqueline G. and William E. Maritz Endowed Chair in Immunology and Oncology.

Nancy Ridenour, PhD, RN, APRN, BC, FAAN, has been named the Maxine Clark and Bob Fox Endowed Dean and Professor at Goldfarb School of Nursing. This honor complements Dr. Ridenour’s role as president of Barnes-Jewish College.
