The recently opened Plaza West Tower at Barnes-Jewish Hospital brings together the expertise of multidisciplinary teams, and the building itself is a master class in how design and function come together to improve the experience of patients and families.

On September 18, 2025, The Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital held the Nicholas T. Kouchoukos Research Day in partnership with the WashU Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery.

Meet four research scientists and physicians who are raising awareness about the need for early cancer screenings, adjusting treatment plans for a greater and faster impact, and drastically improving diagnostic tools at Siteman Cancer Center to create more precise and personalized approaches to therapies.

The Foundation is proud to honor and install Dr. Debbie Lee Bennett as The Ronald and Hanna Evens Endowed Chair in Women's Health at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and is grateful to the donors who made this position possible. 

Through Foundation funding, BJC Community Health Improvement encourages gun safety to prevent violence and increase family health in St. Louis. By providing gun locks as a preventative service, the team aims to reduce gun-related injuries throughout the community.
