Generous donors make it possible for The Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital to provide doula scholarships to patients through BJC HealthCare. These scholarships support birthing families who desire the physical and emotional support of a doula but face financial barriers in accessing them.

Our country is in the middle of a mental health crisis. Nearly one in five American adults will have a diagnosable mental health condition in any given year. That includes 42.5 million adults with anxiety and 21 million adults with depression. Various forms of mental illness—from mild to severe—touches nearly every family.

We are proud to announce the distribution of $125,000 to four nonprofit organizations in St. Louis through the Community Support Grants Program

The Foundation awards Community Support Grants four times throughout the year to local nonprofit organizations focused on reducing health care disparities; fostering strong community health care networks; promoting adult health, wellness, and disease prevention in the community; and providing quality health care education. In 2024, the Foundation awarded 27 grants totaling more than $850,000.
