On March 6, 2026, The Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital and the College installed Bernadette Henrichs, PhD, CRNA, CCRN, CHSE, FAANA, was named Jack Taylor Dean and Professor of Barnes-Jewish College Goldfarb School of Nursing Goldfarb School of Nursing to lead all academic programs and educational policy at Goldfarb.

A total of 16 research scientists and physicians received support from the Siteman Investment Program (SIP). SIP is a biannual research grant program at Alvin J. Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and WashU Medicine. These individuals are leading unique cancer research projects that advance patient care through innovation.

The Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital’s commitment to building healthier and brighter futures for everyone extends beyond the hospital walls and into the community. The Foundation is proud to announce the distribution of $66,000 to three nonprofit organizations in the St. Louis region through its Community Support Grants Program.

The Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital recently presented Michael Avidan, MBBCh, with its 2025 President's Achievement Award. Dr. Avidan leads WashU Medicine's Department of Anesthesiology. He is the Dr. Seymour and Rose T. Brown Professor of Anesthesiology and anesthesiologist-in-chief at Barnes-Jewish Hospital.

Each year, the Foundation presents the President's Achievement Award to an accomplished physician, researcher, or faculty partner who upholds the Barnes-Jewish Hospital mission, advances medical knowledge, continuously improves the delivery of world-class patient care, and educates the next generation of clinicians.

Six resident physicians and fellows received Knowlton Incentive for Excellence Awards at The Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital’s 41st annual award presentation on November 24, 2025.
