About Dr. Bernadette Henrichs
Dr. Bernadette M. Henrichs is a professor and dean at Barnes-Jewish College Goldfarb School of Nursing. Promoted to dean in June 2025, she previously founded and led the college’s nationally ranked nurse anesthesia program, established in 2004. Dr. Henrichs completed her nurse anesthesia training at Washington University and holds both a MSN and a PhD from Saint Louis University. A highly accomplished educator, she has secured more than $900,000 in grant funding and received numerous honors, including the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology’s (AANA) Helen Lamb Outstanding Educator of the Year Award. Dr. Henrichs also founded the Watanabe-Henrichs Endowed Scholarship to support CRNA students. She is a fellow of both the AANA and the American Academy of Nursing.
About Jack C. Taylor
A philanthropist, visionary, and astute businessman, the late Jack C. Taylor and his family have transformed countless organizations and institutions through their leadership and generosity. In 2007, a generous gift from Mr. Taylor established the Jack Taylor Dean at Barnes-Jewish College Goldfarb School of Nursing. Throughout the years, this chair has supported initiatives by the dean to accelerate faculty development, expand research, and further the work and leadership of the college. As the Jack Taylor Dean, Dr. Bernadette Henrichs’ wealth of experience, passion, and expertise will become hallmarks of the activities and initiatives represented by this chair.
