Each year, the Foundation regularly grants out more than it raises to meet the health care needs of our community, thanks to investment income from our significant endowment. Guided by our conservative spending policy, only a portion of our earnings are spent each year. In 2025, the amount we granted was significantly larger than usual, as the Foundation also distributed $40 million from BJC HealthCare’s spendable reserves.
