About Dr. Aaron F. Struck
Aaron Struck, MD, joined WashU Medicine in St. Louis on July 1, 2025, as associate professor of neurology and head of the adult epilepsy section. His work focuses on surgical treatment of idiopathic generalized epilepsy, EEG, neuroimaging, molecular imaging, and data science.
He previously served at the University of Wisconsin–Madison as assistant professor of neurology, as well as medical director and section head of epilepsy and neurophysiology. He also served as director of the fellowship programs in epilepsy and clinical neurophysiology, in addition to directing the EEG lab and his own lab, the University of Wisconsin Lab for Data Science in Epilepsy and Critical Illness. In 2024, he was named chair of epilepsy and neuromonitoring research for the University of Wisconsin–Madison Medical Foundation.
Dr. Struck has held leadership roles with the Wisconsin Neurological Society and chaired the Critical Care EEG Monitoring Research Consortium from 2023–2025. He is a Fellow of the American Epilepsy Society and the American Clinical Neurophysiology Society.
NIH-funded since 2020, his research includes AI-enabled EEG tools for seizure detection, neuroimaging of epilepsy networks, and studies on inflammation and THC in epilepsy.
