Angela Clark, PhD, RN, MSN, CNE, FAAN, was formally installed as the Maxine Clark and Bob Fox President of Barnes-Jewish College Goldfarb School of Nursing at a ceremony in St. Louis on Dec. 14. Dr. Clark joined the College as president in May 2022.

On Dec. 7, 2023, The Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital presented Vicky Fraser, MD, the Adolphus Busch Professor of Medicine and the chair of the John T. Milliken Department of Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine, with its 2023 President's Achievement Award.

Because Dr. Kouchoukos feels so passionately about research and training the next generation, he established The Nicholas T. Kouchoukos, MD, Endowed Fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery at The Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital in 2018.

“We need to train cardiothoracic surgeons who are both good surgeons and good clinical investigators,” Dr. Kouchoukos says. “It’s critical to have people in the field who are innovative, continue to push the limits, and make advances that enhance patient care.”

The Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital recognized six Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine internal medicine residents and fellows at its 39th annual Knowlton Incentive for Excellence Awards dinner on Oct. 30.
